Say Thank You

Thanksgiving is a holiday that revolves around giving thanks. Therefore, it's important to be able to say thank you in the most chic way possible: with incredibly beautiful thank you notes!

We have tons of gorgeous thank you notes in the studio these days. If you don't find exactly what you are looking for, let us design something personalized and fabulous. Here are a few of my favorites.

Thank you's come in a variety of shapes, sizes, fonts & colors for every style and every age. Make an appointment, email or call us and select yours today!

A family tradition at our Thanksgiving dinner is to go around the table and ask each person what he/she is most thankful. More recently, we've updated this tradition, by having little "I'm thankful for..." cards at each seat with a pencil. Everyone then can write their answer(s) down. We save the cards each year and look back and reflect. These are from paper source but you can easily make them yourself at home.

Give thanks!

xoxo,

Niki

Etch-It Party Fun!

As Niki mentioned, we spent last weekend in Gainesville, Florida cheering the Florida Gators on to victory! We also spent some time with our younger brother Oren. He introduced me to a product I found to be totally blog-worthy!

Etch-It cups are one of the coolest party ideas I have ever seen. In an era of H1N1 they are also very practical (and way less germ spreading)!!

Etch-It Party Cups are disposable cups that are fitted with a removable label, which can be etched with a personal saying, name, etc.

These are such a fun and festive addition to any party. They help guests remember which cup is their own, reducing the number of cups used, which is a plus for both cleaning up, and helping out the environment. This idea also reduces the potential spreading of germs. They're a great ice breaker, letting your guests get creative with their sayings. Best of all, these fun tags don't leave any residue on your fingers when you write on them.

They also sell the tags alone so you can adhere them to anything imaginable. They would make awesome seating cards that you could attach to plates, glass wear, or even wrap around a napkin. You could adhere them to favors, gifts, chairs and even on your guests as name tags.

Here are on-line and retail locations where you can purchase these brilliant Etch-It Cups.

And since we're on the topic of etching.... these mini Etch A Sketch key chains would make an adorable favor, especially at a party for someone who loves to draw..

If you really want to get funky with an etch-a-sketch, hire the infamous Christopher Brown to come etch a portrait of you at your next event!

Happy Etching!

xoxo,
Ali

Danielle Stevens: Monogram Chic

I love giving gifts. Yes, even more than I love receiving them. I think that there are few things more satisfying than giving the perfect gift. Letting your friends and family know that you put effort and thoughtfulness into picking out a gift is truly fulfilling.

Customers are constantly asking me for great gift ideas. I adore giving something personalized. When the amazingly talented designer, Danielle Stevens launched her engraved line of jewelry, I knew I had found a gift that I could recommend to any and everyone.

Many of these necklaces and bracelets can be personalized with one to three initials for a monogram. Others can be engraved with your favorite inspirational word or quote. They come in fabulous shapes like circles, ovals and hearts. Certain styles allow you to choose an accent birth stone as another layer of customization.

This would be a fantastic way for a bride to show off her new monogram. It's perfect for bridesmaids, since the jewelry can be personalized for each friend. I love these for Bat Mitzvahs, birthdays and holiday gifts. Maybe you're even feeling like you need to treat yourself to a gift too! Check out Danielle's site for tons of other great jewelry.

Happy personalized fabulous gift giving!

xoxo,

Niki

Giant Letters Everywhere

Giant letters are so cool. Honestly, who doesn't want to see their name blown up (in letters or lights)?

I think my favorite might be these zinc letters from Anthropologie, which now even come oversized, 25 inches high!

Pica Press put these letters to good use. They really pop against the cherry red wall.

Good ole' Anthropologie also makes these colorful upholstered letters and metal letter stand bookends, which would be really cool to use in place of table numbers.

I also adore these choices for wall monograms from Pottery Barn Kids. They may be shown in a nursery, but they don't have to be just limited to that. Use them at birthday parties, showers and even dinner parties. You could even give each guest their initial and use them as a totally unique favor.

Purchase one (or lots) of these craft letters from Paper Source and decoupage it with a great printed paper. Better yet, cover it with an adhesive and cover it in a bright colored glitter for a sparkly statement.

The alphabet isn't just for the walls of your home.

Instead of the guest(s) of honors names and initials, use wall letters to spell out a word to set the tone, like this festive "celebrate" from once wed.

This moss covered monogram from Style Me Pretty would be gorgeous at a rustic soiree {like the one shown here from once wed}.

This couple found gigantic letters from an old Blockbuster Video sign. The letters became the signature piece of wedding, and flanked the entry to the reception area. Fantastic photos by Erin hearts court.

Say It Right: Wonderful Graffiti

When I was four, I wrote my name in pen on my closet door. Then I lied and told my parents my one year old sister (Ali) did it. They weren't impressed.

Apparently today, writing on the walls is tres chic. Especially when you write with Wonderful Graffiti, a thin piece of vinyl that looks "printed" when applied to smooth surfaces. The company creates monograms, designs, slogans, and custom logo's onto a transfer paper. Then you adhere it to the wall, ceiling, door, mirror, floor, even the windshield of your car and voila: total personalization. It can be easily removed, and is not permanent by any means.

I discovered Wonderful Graffiti when decorating my home and office, but they recently dedicated an entire portion of their website to weddings & events. It's fantastic! Today, I'm especially in love with the idea of putting the couples initials in "lipstick" on the bathroom mirror.

From a baby's nursery to a wedding gift table, from "just married" to a big "hello," all signs are pointing to the fabulous writing on the walls.

xoxo,

Niki
